These terms govern your use of Genderize.io for Google Sheets™, the Google Workspace add-on published by Demografix ApS (CVR: DK40697179), Eriksvej 30, 1 th., Roskilde, Sjælland 4000, Denmark.

1. Relationship to Our General Terms

The add-on is a client for the genderize.io API. Your use of it is subject to our Terms and Conditions in full. These add-on terms add to those; they do not replace them. Where the two conflict on a matter specific to the add-on, this page controls.

Data handling for the add-on is described separately in the Google Sheets™ Add-on Privacy Policy .

2. Google's Terms Also Apply

The add-on is distributed through Google Workspace Marketplace and runs on Google Apps Script. Your use of Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and the Marketplace is governed by your agreement with Google, not by us. We are not a party to that relationship and cannot vary it.

3. API Keys and Quota

Predictions are served by the genderize.io API and count against the quota attached to the API key you supply. Current tiers and their limits are listed on our pricing page, which is the authoritative source — quota figures are not restated here so that they cannot fall out of date.

You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential and for all usage recorded against it. If you believe your key has been exposed, rotate it from your account and clear the old key from the add-on sidebar.

4. Acceptable Use

The acceptable-use provisions of our Terms and Conditions apply unchanged. In addition, when using the add-on you must not:

• Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, the quota attached to your key — including by cycling keys or accounts.
• Redistribute the add-on's output as a competing name-prediction dataset or service.
• Use the add-on to make decisions about a specific individual. See section 5.

5. The Nature of the Predictions

Our API returns statistical predictions derived from large-scale aggregated demographic data. A prediction describes what is probable for a name in a population; it is not a fact about the person holding that name, and a probability score is not a confidence that any particular row is correct.

The add-on is built for aggregate analysis. Do not use it to make employment, credit, insurance, housing, pricing, or other consequential decisions about an individual. You are responsible for any decision you take on the basis of its output.

6. Data You Submit

You are responsible for the data you put into your spreadsheet and send through the add-on. You must have the right to process that data under the law that applies to you, including the GDPR where relevant.

Where you use the add-on to process personal data in your own systems, you are the data controller for that processing. We offer a Data Processing Agreement for customers who need one.

7. Availability and Warranty

The add-on is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It carries no service-level commitment beyond what your genderize.io subscription provides for the underlying API.

Some behaviour is outside our control: Google enforces its own execution-time limits on Apps Script, which cap how much a single custom-function call can do. Sheets may also recalculate formulas on its own schedule, which consumes quota. Neither is a defect in the add-on.

We may change, suspend, or withdraw the add-on at any time. If we withdraw it, the genderize.io API remains available to your subscription through the documented endpoints.

8. Limitation of Liability

The limitation of liability in our Terms and Conditions applies to the add-on in full, and is not extended or duplicated here.

9. Termination

You may stop using the add-on at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling revokes its access to your spreadsheets; it does not cancel a genderize.io subscription, which is managed from your account.

We may suspend add-on access where usage breaches these terms or our general Terms and Conditions.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Danish law, with the courts of Denmark having jurisdiction, on the same basis as our Terms and Conditions .
